C90500 Tin Bronze Alloy

C90500 Tin Bronze is a cast bronze alloy with high tin content. It is very durable and good in high-load and low-speed applications.

It has a high resistance to corrosion from steam and saltwater. So, it works well for steam fittings and marine applications. Other applications include:

  • Bronze Bearings
  • Bronze Bushings
  • Bronze Gears
  • Bronze Pump Impellers
  • Bronze Pump Bodies
  • Bronze Steam Fittings
  • Bronze Valve Components

Diversified Bronze has solid and cored bronze bars in 144" lengths. Other lengths and non-standard sizes are available.

Technical details

C90500 is made up of 88% copper, 10% tin, and 2% zinc. The best welding techniques include:

  • Brazing
  • Carbon Arc
  • Coated-metal arc
  • Gas-shielded arc
  • Oxyacetylene
  • Soldering
