C64700 Nickel Silicon Bronze Alloy

C64700 nickel silicon bronze is a wrought alloy that has moderate strength and good corrosion resistance. Because it has a golden bronze color, it is an attractive option in a variety of applications.

Many industries use C64700, including aerospace, industrial, and railway. Common applications include:

  • Nickel Silicon Bronze Bearing Cages
  • Nickel Silicon Bronze Valve Guides & Valve Stems
  • Nickel Silicon Bronze Fasteners
  • Nickel Silicon Bronze Marine Fittings
  • Nickel Silicon Bronze Pole Line Hardware

Diversified Bronze has solid and cored nickel silicon bronze bars in 144" lengths. Other lengths and non-standard sizes are available.

Technical Details

C64700 is made up of 1.6-2.2% nickel, 0.4-0.8% silicon, 0.5% zinc, and 0.1% of both iron and lead. Copper makes up the balance of the alloy. The best welding techniques include:

  • Brazing
  • Butt
  • Coated-Metal Arc
  • Gas-Shielded Arc
  • Seam
  • Spot
